Currently a student in Biomedical Data Science at Stanford University, funded by the QUAD Fellowship. Previously a data & ML engineer at 2seventy bio (acquired by Regeneron) and CEO & Cofounder of Perch, an online employment platform for specialized researchers.

Interested in research on domain-specific AI “scientists” for automated, open-ended discovery, tightly coupled with AI Virtual Cell development.

Fascinated by technology—its history, market trends, and emerging research—particularly in the U.S. and Japan.

Made in Japan, raised in Michigan, biologist & chemical engineer by training, software engineer by profession, UMich Ann Arbor grad.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, snowboarding, playing tennis, and practicing the guitar.
